The one-year Disrupt CAD III data has been published in JSCAI – the new journal of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions. The new data from Disrupt CAD III confirm the consistency of the excellent safety and effectiveness outcomes at 30 days out to one year.

2021 was Shockwave’s best year yet! Although it brought challenges, with it came immense opportunities which allowed us to grow and exceed expectations. As we push on into 2022, we are excited for what the year will bring but most importantly, for the opportunities to continue to help improve patient outcomes across the globe. In the recent Cardiovascular Revascularization Medicine article, “First United States experience with RotaShock: A case series,” Drs. Gautam Kumar and Rajesh Sachdeva of Emory and Atlanta VA Medical Center recount three successful cases using the RotaShock technique, a combination of rotational atherectomy with IVL for severely calcified vessels. Following its publication, we engaged them in a highly educational Q&A discussion about how the two technologies are very complementary to each other, and the new strategy can be used either electively or as a rescue.
